Casting call for my friend Sarah Michelle Brown’s play. Looks like an awesome opportunity to work with great people:

Interested in being a part of a great all female ensemble cast and taking the Montreal Fringe by storm?

Fire Up Productions (based in Toronto) is looking for a strong actor & team player to complete their cast for Sarah Michelle Brown’s new play, “First Hand Woman.” FHW tells the story of a woman going through the stages of grieving from the loss of a love relationship. Her journey of the spirit is told through five parts of herself: Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression and Acceptance.

CHARACTER:
Looking for the character “Acceptance”-
Female, Late 20’s to late 30’s, all ethnicities.
Strong, mature woman
She has been through a lot and survived, though not without scars.
Patient, encouraging, wise, great sense of humour and fiery spirit.
Strong vocal and movement skills needed.

TORONTO REHEARSALS:
Need to be flexible to rehearse part-time days in Toronto during May-June.

MONTREAL SHOW DATES:
Festival dates are in Montreal June 12-22nd, 2008.

PRODUCTION DETAILS:
Open to Equity and non-equity performers.
Compensation by profit share.
Accomodation and travel (Toronto to Montreal) provided.
